Why buyers import rather than buy locally
The Cyprus used-car market is relatively small, so a specific model, colour, mileage band or specification can be hard to find at a fair price on the island. Importing opens up a much larger pool of vehicles in the UK, Japan and continental Europe, which usually means more choice and a stronger price for the same car.
It isn't automatically cheaper for every vehicle, and timing is longer than buying something already on a forecourt in Cyprus. The point of importing is matching the right car and the right source market to your budget and brief, not chasing the lowest number at any cost.
How the process works
You tell us the make, model, year range, fuel type, must-have equipment and budget. We compare suitable dealer stock, trade channels and auctions in the UK, Japan and Europe and recommend the option with the best balance of condition, price and delivery time.
Once you approve a specific car, we handle the purchase, inland transport, export paperwork, sea freight, customs clearance, duty and VAT, the Cyprus MOT and registration, and plates. Our quotation sets out exactly what is included before you commit to anything.
Right-hand drive or left-hand drive
Cyprus drives on the left, so UK and Japanese cars — which are commonly right-hand drive — fit the road layout directly and dominate the local used market. Continental European stock is usually left-hand drive; it can still be registered and driven here, and it's worth considering when it unlocks a specification, colour or price that right-hand-drive markets don't offer.
We always state the steering position clearly in any recommendation so you can weigh it against the rest of the car.
Checks, pricing and tracking
Before any purchase we review the available identity, history, mileage, service and condition evidence for the car — inspection reports, auction sheets, service invoices and photos, depending on the source. We explain any known marks, gaps or risks before you approve the purchase.
Once your order is placed, we send a private MC tracking code by WhatsApp or email so you can follow the sourcing, shipping, customs and registration milestones without needing an account. If you'd like to see a car that is already in Cyprus, viewings can be arranged by appointment in Limassol.
